That seems awfully oxymoron-ish.

I don't feel that's an oxymoron at all. The reason I even ended up into idols in the first place was because I didn't want a girlfriend; the implications of both are completely different. I simply enjoy supporting her and seeing her be happy and succeed. I take joy in being a part of that, no matter how small that part may be. There is enough reward in that for me to not want a girlfriend, and in that sense I consider idols an adequate substitute. But I definitely do not consider her to be my girlfriend or anything of the sort. Again, that would be crazy.

Only been out of the US once. My school brought our production of Jesus Christ Superstar to the Edinburgh Fringe festival. Wish I could of gone on my own. This was right after the subway bombings back in 2005. We weren't allowed to use public transportation (glad we let the terrorists win :x ) We stayed in London for a few days. Every place my teachers decided to eat was horrible. Then we got to Edinburgh and I ate like a king. I ate so many pocket pies. Haggis isn't has bad as it sounds. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haggis So much fried food. Better than bland British food (fish and chips being the exception). Maybe I am just a fat ass American.

Fair enough... If it's working out for you and giving you cause for joy, I suppose that would be all that matters. I've never encountered someone that was into this sort of thing so I thought I'd shoot you a few questions.

In any case, I think I've derailed the thread enough. Sorry about that OP.

S'all good. Again, it's always nice to encounter someone who's curious. My bad if I sounded a little defensive, that's kind of a natural reaction with all the negative reactions I've gotten over the years...

And yeah, serious apologies to the OP. Didn't intend to cause such a commotion...

BTW, I'd like to share an anecdote from my trip to Berlin. When I was in the train with my mother and sister, some American girls were commenting on us. We were face to face, at a 2 meter distance (and no one else was inside that area we were at that time).

Useful tip: English is the most spoken language in Europe. Just cause it is the native language, doesn't mean the others can't understand you

In the world.

There aren't many places were you could get away with speaking about someone in English in front of them without risk of them understanding you. In Japan, you might..., but then again you might be surprised when you realize they knew everything you said. The moral of the story is: don't be an asshole just because you think nobody can understand you.

That's why, when I mutter incoherently to myself, I use my own made up language.

That way no one gets offended. They just think I'm insane.
