FYI, there is a new 4-player Pacman Battle Royale machine at Arcade UFO. Video of pre-release version here. Video of the machine at E3 here. In this game, when you eat a power pellet, you can eat other Pacmen (players), in addition to ghosts.
So Arcade UFO has 4 player Pacman and 4 player Gundam.......seems like two extreme opposites on the 4 player spectrum, if such a spectrum exists.

Also, Pinballz Arcade is adding more and more machines. I won't even try listing them. They have also noticeably shuffled their machines around.
Interestingly, one wall has become a giant poster of the Star Trek Enterprise bridge.

I wish I had more free time to get in on this action.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I remember reading about the Pacman Battle Royale on UFO's site. I need to get down there to try it out. Hopefully my crazy work schedule will be back to normal in two weeks. We'll start planning another meet up then if you guys like.

And to complete my hat trick of Austin arcade updates:
Kung Fu Saloon has added a Super Contra arcade machine to their stable. It's actually the Japanese version, too. It's a visually impressive arcade game for 1988......but the NES version has way better control and player movement. Nevertheless, "The Quest for Freedom Continues!"

no prob. they have come in and given to al & co. the switched themselves turned out to be really stiff. al said they can switch em for some cherries and it should play fine. personally they felt a bit tough although not to deterring. well now the waiting game. and hopefully that neo geo will come back looking nice. hoping.
