how to remove cigarette smells from games or guides..

Post by CHOCOBO77 »

this past week i purchased a ps1 lot with games and guides...and they stink(cigarette, chronic)so i went on the net..this is what i found out on getting rid off smells from games, etc(use vinegar, use clorox, some said use a product called kablammo)i don't want my cartridges smelling like pickles, and where the f@#$ do you get kablammo from...(so i thought if baking soda got rid off my foot odor... im sure it can easily get rid off(cigarette,chronic)smells...and this is what ive tried so far...place the guides/games in a shoe box, with a baking soda box inside, cover it and let it sit for 2 days ...the smell is gone, even when i flip the pages .... not trying to be the martha stewart of retro gaming but it worked....next week i will tell you how to get rid off that awful yellowing on your nes....lol...so if anyone has a better idea tell us...

Backing soda works great for cigarette or weed smells. Vinegar works wells too. They will smell bad after you use vinegar but the smell will fade. Untreated charcoal works wonders too.

Take up smoking and it won't bother you anymore.

Best advice: don't buy anything that has a stank to it (smokes or any other stank on it).
 (FC, AVFC, NES, SFC x2, SNES, N64, GC x2, Wii x2)*(G&W x7, GB, GBpocket, GBASP, DS-L x2)
(GEN, SS x3, DC x3)*(PCE-Duo)*(Xbox:500GB)*(NGCDZ, NGPC)*(PS1, PStwo, PS3:160GB, PSP.3K)

that reminds me, i once purchased a game gear lot that has cigarette smells. i locked it inside a box full of car freshener for days and it worked for about 85% of the item that was inside it.
