Capacitor and Resistor Help

Post by fvgazi »

After reading all that stuff about the S-Video mods for Genesis I was interested making one because it's fairly simple. I'm going to be following the Jamma Nation X Mod.

two questions.
1. For the 220uF Capacitor, what does the voltage have to be? I know you need to use equal or higher, but I don't know how to figure it out. I know really nothing about making circuits besides following directions to build them. They don't list the minimum needed on the site.

2. For Resistors, I was checking out mouser.com and looking for different resistors. I can get the exact ones I need in Carbon Composition. Is there a difference between that and Ceramic Composition? Obviously the composition is difference, but in terms of building the circuit, should I be looking out for any potential problems?

Resistors...
Carbon resistors are the most common. They actually mix in ceramics to vary the resistance value. Most resistors have ceramics in them, so I'm not sure which ones you are looking at.
