Only SGB compatibility didn't make it GBC compatible. Pokemon Yellow is the only SGB game I know that was.
And I'm serious, if anyone knows of another game that was, let us know.
All other SGB games play with normal 4-color pallete options.

Now there were black-label GBC games that happened to have SGB features (special color palletes and borders), but those features weren't present on the GBC, it was already fully colorized.

--Edit--
Oh, you were talking about Pokemon Yellow specifically.
Sorry, I just caught your meaning. I thought you were saying they did that for all SGB games.

Castlevania Legends
Centiped (Majesco / no-Millipede)
Frogger
Harvest Moon GB
Int'l Superstar Soccer
Legend Of The River King
Maui Mallard Cold Shadow
Mickey Mouse Magic Wands
Mulan
Mystical Ninja
Oddworld Adventures
Poke Blue/Red
Rugrats Movie

*there were also re-releases that year, like the Sunsoft Final Fantasies, but I don't have any reason to believe any of these re-releases would include new color info.
**many of these I KNOW will only be b/w on emulators, BUT what yr lookiing for is if any of these were released AFTER the GBC hardware. I'm only giving the year 1998, so (shrug)

We can do our own search. Doesn't bother me, you already got us to the search options.
Internet has made us lazy I tells ya'.
Thanks for the link anyways, I'll use that in the future. 8)

Anyways, there's not too many of those that I can test on actual hardware.
...and a few of them even had 2 different releases (as SGB and later as GBC). I doubt that any of them had true GBC support, but I'll try to research them in the future.
Some of them I have tried on that emulator, but like I said, Pokemon Yellow is the only one showing up in color so far.

yeah some did have 2 releases, so you'd want to make sure you found the GB rom, not the GBC rom.

Easy enough. A lot of times you can find them marked as for SGB and [C] for the color version. Figured that out after playing roms for Game and Watch Gallery 2 and Warioland II.

there's over 600 GBC titles. Barely. But don't start sifting until I get home tonight. Like I said, I think I have a list saved already bro's.
Seriously, over 600 GBC titles? Not including the regular GB or GBA? Man, I had no idea.

no, I mis-typed. There's 452 GBC carts in the US. There's 511 GB carts. And over 1,000 GBA. I don't remember the official count on those.
