I'm liking these PSP posts

I've finished all of the Zelda handheld games except Spirit Tracks which I'm halfway through. They were all great. Link to the Past was my favorite. Link's Awakening was also good.noiseredux wrote:who likes Zelda GB games?
They were all good, even Phantom Hourglass. Maybe Minish Cap was one that I did not like as much as the others?

I can't tell you exactly why, but I've never played either of the DS games. Even though I had a DS back in 2007. I think it was the stylus that scared me off. However, I'd probably go as far as to say that Minish Cap is my least favorite of the GB/GBC/GBA titles. It LOOKS fantastic, but I found the shrinking gimmick tiresome after a while.gtmtnbiker wrote: They were all good, even Phantom Hourglass. It's definitely different but I got used to it quickly. It's definitely a lot easier to run in a circle in a boss fight with a stylus. I also like tapping a monster to have Link slash at it. So I don't mind the Stylus controls. I also didn't mind the sailing from island to island.noiseredux wrote:I can't tell you exactly why, but I've never played either of the DS games. I think for me it was collecting/getting Kinstones and fusing them. Also, those mysterious shells. I don't think I got anything of value for them.noiseredux wrote: However, I'd probably go as far as to say that Minish Cap is my least favorite of the GB/GBC/GBA titles. I must say, Link's awakening was badass in its day. I don't count a link to the past, so that one would be my fav. I did quite enjoy the epic 3 game long run that it took to experience all of oracles thoughgtmtnbiker wrote:I've finished all of the Zelda handheld games except Spirit Tracks which I'm halfway through. I would like a re-release of Link's Awakening that did not remind you that things were heavy every time you walked near a jar or rock.
That is literally my only complaint about that epic title.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Hey Noise, sounds like you called in for the Retronauts podcast 10th Anniversary feature last Friday. I also was able to get through, I was the one who asked about the best GBA imports. Heheh small world...
