Innovations Sega Genesis Gamepad help

So i ordered this controller about two days ago and i was pretty stoked about it because it was a 6-button controller. I Could finally play my Street Fighter games easily and my Wrestlemania The Arcade game better too. However, when i plugged it in and tested it out the Up and Down buttons are reversed. Inverted, i guess i should say. So, now, if i want to do a Hadouken, i have to press Up +forward +punch.

is there anything i can do to correct this problem?

Open it up, cut some traces and rewire acoordingly. Very peculiar problem. Never heard of it before. But that might not be the cause. Are you sure that is all of it´s problems?
Perhaps as a result of an human manual labor error.
Or better yet, talk to other people in your area, it´s an easy fix.
Or send it back offcourse.
OH wait!
You could just change the up and down wire on the 9 wires. But the tough point is finding out which is which.
Why don´t you do soem more testing, then open it up and make 2 detailed photo´s.
Then we can advise you on what to do next.

Yeah it's the controller. My 3 button gamepad works fine. It's just this controller....I don't know much about rewiring and such so i don't think im going to try and open it up and re-wire it, since i'm sure you need a soldering kit in order to do so and i have absolutely NO IDEA how to do that
