If you've downloaded entire sets to emulate (as many do), you run into "pirate's syndrome", where you have too much available to you for free, and have no idea where to begin, or even how to enjoy it.
Money, as much I hate it, becomes the great equalizer -- if you have to fork over money for a game, you're more likely to give it time and attention, as you had to trade something of your own for it, and therefore it intrinsically has more value than that which you got for nothing.
Solution: Unless you're some sort of rom collector/archivist, delete everything that you downloaded, and start again by only downloading a few games you'd like to play. Your brain will thank you.
