You MUST check out Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together. Beat it about a month or two ago and I couldn't believe how good it was, story wise and all. I just love stumbling upon newer SNES RPG to me that ends up ranking up there with the best that I've been playing for years!

I haven't checked out much of the other Ogre Battle related games, but check out some videos of the original Ogre Battle which came out before TO, now that game looks complicated. I hear it's also really good though.

Granted, Ogre Battle is a little rare. It was ported to the PSX but I'd definitely go for the SNES version if you can, no load times and stuff. Sadly an English release of the original TO only exists on the PSX and it's extremely hard to come by, but if you're up for emulating, someone dumped the PSX script into the SNES rom last year or something so it's easy to find now. I'd recommend the SNES version again there, better sounds and no loading.

The Fire Emblem games and Super Robot Taisen Masokishin are pretty good. Assuming you meant SRPGs.

Do you want strategy RPGs like Tactics Ogre, or strategy games a la Romance of the Three Kingdoms II or Genghis Khan II: Clan of the Gray Wolf?

Couldn't hurt to play Koei's other SNES games then, if you haven't already.

There is a PSP version of Tactics Ogre too; it's no longer a PS1 exclusive (English).

The PS1 version of Ogrebattle has one major feature over the SNES game: you can save in the middle of a campaign. I've had 4-6 hour sessions on the SNES, and that's just not always possible to do.
Of course, if you play on an emulator, that's not a problem anyways.

But I definitely recommend the game. Ogrebattle is probably my favorite Strategy game of all time. And Ryvius is right; no load times is the most enjoyable.

I can't think of any other SNES strategy games I like outside of imports. I've always wanted to try Rise of the Phoenix though.
...just another lost soul...

Yeah, no problem. This list may interest you:

I don't have much experience with SNES strategy games. I do own a few, but they're not something I've sunk much time into. Most of the titles you'll find in that list are Super Famicom titles, which may keep you from playing them...I don't know what region you're set up to play, NTSC-U, NTSC-J, or PAL. But yeah, definitely give that a look over.
