supposedly. But they were also selling GB/GBC through 2008 supposedly, and I never saw ANY in 2007 at any location.

The issue I take with some of these lists is that most of these are gone from my area. Of the three Gamestops here, I only see PSP and DS games for handhelds, and the PSP section is next to nothing. PC has only a single shelf if any at all, and the only main consoles on display are Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3 games. PS2 games have been regulated to a bin, and there haven't been any GameCube or original Xbox games in my local stores for several years.

As far as down here is concerned, PS2 is the next to cut.

My gamestops still have a few overpriced gamecube games on their own self, but recently it seems like they're trying to get rid of ps2 first. Throwing them all in a bin in the center of the store, also on top of the bin are multiple boxes of ps2 disc only games. They didn't even bother to make gamestop cases? I guess space is an issue.

Seems to me like PSP may go first. Thats certainly the case in game stores this side of the pond - PS2 has more space dedicated than PSP does in a lot of shops.

Actually they sold all forms of retro from every system and era until 2009. In January 2009 there was a mass sell off to resellers for ebay and other companies like PnT and the remainder they couldn't sell (AKA sports games and complete junk) was destroyed.

But, it was all just the reminder of inventory they had in the back rooms of their stores. It's the same with Xbox and GameBoy/GameBoy Color they don't take it in anymore but there's still lots and lots of it in the company inventory, stores just don't bother to put it out anymore.
My Consoles:
Genesis - Nomad - SegaCD - GameGear - Sega Saturn - Dreamcast - NES - SNES - N64 - Gamecube - Wii - Playstation - PSone & LCD - PS2 - PS3 - Xbox - 3DS

2 weeks from tomorrow eh?

Well I guess it's time to put some cash away for any gems I can snag afterwards.

Yeah, I call Shenanigans on that one. If it was at a store, it was probably a franchised store or something. I remember Dreamcast being in until like 2004, though.
