Re: Austin, TX Racketboy members' meet ups
So what do you guys want to do? Would Wed 23rd or Thurs 24th work best? I'm going to push for a 4 - 8 meet up where people can drop by and game as they get of work/school/whatever. People can hang out until we break and some of us can head to Pinballz or UFO.

Sorry, I don't have an opinion because I'm not sure if I can make it. I probably won't know until the last minute. Is this still a handheld/portable meetup?wip3outguy7 wrote:So what do you guys want to do? Would Wed 23rd or Thurs 24th work best?

Well, if we are doing Game Over I was just going to bring the Saturn and Dreamcast and a bunch of games and let people play what they want. I was going to bring some single player games up, too. If you guys want to bring handhelds, go for it. We'll do a crazy eclectic meet.

Re: Austin, TX Racketboy members' meet ups
I am waiting for a reply back from Game Over, but I am going to try to set something up for Wednesday the 23rd from around 5pm - 8pm. This should give people some time to drop by after work. I posted this information to the Austin gamers' meetup.com group. They seemed to have a lot of fun at the big Dreamcast meet up.

Alright!
Just drop by after work or come whenever. I'm going to bring the Dreamcast and Saturn and some random games. I'm going to try to bring some things that we haven't played yet. It’s officially booked – Wed, March 23, 5-8pm @ north Austin store (183/Lamar). We’ll see you then!
Re: Austin, TX Racketboy members' meet ups
I have no plans that Wednesday, so I'll be able to make it.

Cool, I look forward to seeing you there!
A couple of the meetups crew are going to attend as well.
My schedule unexpectedly changed today, but I should be at Game Over by 5:15pm to set up. Oh, and they now have the 4 player Sunset Riders cab up and running at the store. It was set to freeplay last week when I dropped by.

I am curious about the meetup.com group. Are you a member of that group? Have you been to any of their meetups? If so, what sort of meetups do they have?wip3outguy7 wrote:A couple of the meetups crew are going to attend as well.

Re: Austin, TX Racketboy members' meet ups
I joined the group shortly after the CTX Racket Dreamcast meet. I have not been to one of their official meets, however. They do appear to have regular gatherings. I would say once every week to two weeks. This can be anything from a game night at someone's house to a get together at a local venue like Pinballz.Redline9 wrote:I am curious about the meetup.com group. Are you a member of that group? I will PM you the link to their page. You must register to view specifics.
Also, did anyone notice a pair of Bose headphones during the DC meet? I know it's been awhile, but I wanted to see if anyone remembered seeing them.

Just another friendly reminder: Predator (1987) is showing in downtown Austin on original 35mm film this Sunday night, 9:45pm. $5 a ticket (plus $1 service charge if buying online).
