chinese 'de-ports' for the famicom...?!?!

Post by instant_classic »

it seems final fantasy 7 was not the only unlicensed pirated game to be ported to the nes.
my understanding of chinese is all but unexistant but from the looks of this webpage,
other de-ports include:

zelda four swords
alien vs predator
chrono trigger
naruto rpg
zelda ocarina of time
tomb raider
the conan show [from adult swim not nbc]
titanic [the movie?]
lord of the rings
fighting game with ryu, goku, michael jordan, muhammed ali [wtf?]
fifa world cup 2006
dragon quest 8
the incredibles [movie]
diablo 2
the matrix [cleverly renamed the hacker, lol]
resident evil
grandia 2..or 3
golden sun
gb boy [fake gameboy!]
super mario world
good boy [6 button gameboy that connects to tv]
harry potter
windows 2000 [???]
15-in-1 [ridiculously huge gameboy cartridge]

and thats all i could figure out, but theres alot more and tons of pics on the website
perhaps you guys know what the others are:

this would all be ultimate retro gaming wet dream...if it werent for the language barrier :(
oh well maybe we'll get unofficial pirated translations of the unoffical pirated games someday

Some of those actually look kind of cool.

There's also a real popular pirate cart of Phantasy Star IV on the NES as well...

Is it sad that I would buy some of those if the price was right?

I'd probably do the same. Who wouldn't want a fighting with Goku vs. Michael Jordan?

i bet most of these games suck though... but with such a huge population people gotta do SOMETHING to get paid, right? admittedly i'm still interested in trying some. has anyone significantly played any of these?

oooh, the "good boy" looks pretty cool. game boy color with tv hookups, and an adapter to play famicom carts

Remember playing mortal kombat and street fighter 2 on chinese famicom carts like 10 years ago and they were crap as usual. Also 100-in-1 games usually were like each game would be a level say game 1 is super mario level 1-1 , game 2 is level 1-2, so on... really hated those.
