Majora's Mask Easter Egg

Post by RXRob »

So I'm trying to finish Majora's Mask. It's about my fourth attemt on the second system since I got an N64 copy near to release.

Somehow, in all that time, I have not been aware of this easter egg until now. It blew me away.

So what's your favourite Zelda Easter Egg? Personally I love the Mario Mask that the Mask Seller has in OoT and MM

it's not an "easter egg", but i always enjoyed the cameos in link's awakening, inc. goombas and "anti-kirby".

Suddenly, my life is complete. Haha never noticed that one.

Yeah all the Mario stuff in LA was pretty cool, and fitting when you finish the game.

I finally beat the game about 10 minutes ago. It's only taken me over a decade to achieve.

Is Majora's final transformation supposed to remind me of the old Resident Evil bosses?

That is awesome. I love Majora's Mask, I know it's kind of a black sheep in the series but I have to say it's my favorite Zelda. It's just deeper than Ocarina of Time.

Personally I still favor a handful of Zelda's above it, but yeah I still loved MM. Honestly I'd easily put that one above WW (which was just plain too easy for me) and TP, which didn't innovate too much, but I still really enjoyed that one a lot too. The really appealing thing about MM to me was that it was far more challenging than most other Zelda's, and it felt naturally right after OoT (I say the same about Metroid Prime 2, which definitely doesn't get much love. But I think it's great and love the increased difficulty from Prime, and it completely blows Prime 3 away in that regard).

I'll never forget the 4th dungeon in MM. Suddenly... IT FLIPS! Seriously I think people who complain about the Water Temple must have completely skipped out on MM or something, because that dungeon was way tougher and you were pressured for time to top it off.

Here's the thing though, The Stone Tower Temple is fun!

Great Bay Temple is kind of a chore.

Really though, the whole damn game is brilliant. You ask me, the only Zelda better than Majora's Mask was Link to the Past.

Always thought people considered Zelda II: The Adventures of Link the black sheep of the series? I gotta agree with them, though I still love it.

And I think I prefer OoT over MM. Maybe because I didn't beat MM yet, but I just get a better feeling with OoT. I still love Majora, but I just didn't like it's vibe as much. Maybe I should actually beat it in a few days.
