I am glad that family members of our crew are safe from the earthquake; you just don't know when events like this will happen (please let there be some kind of warning for the US West-coast, or at least a solid plan to respond during and after).

I don't how this will affect my family's plan to Japan for next week (2 of my bros are safe in Taiwan now). But yes, let there be a moment of silence for those who have fallen, and a prayer for those who have survive.

I'll see if I can squeeze some money in for donations now or after the trip.

It's a good thing this didn't happen on a weekday for me. I just can't go to sleep with the nuclear emergency.
I find this far too interesting. I really, really hope they can contain it and minimal damage to the environment come from this.

Still can't get through to Sendai, I have been trying for hours. All phone service, telco and cellular, are down. I am really starting to worry. I emailed everybody, but some of you know how Japanese people are; they aren't fans of PC email so I am not expecting replies anytime soon...even if there was no emergency.

Yeah the whole nuke leak is really unpleasant... more than the earthquake & tsunamis. :(

I know what you mean. Fortunately another friend already confirmed ok, but I'm not really counting on replies from the other.

Just looking at the footage, it is insane what has happened. I hope all our Racketboy kin are fine and hope your families are safe and accounted for. I hope that casualties are kept at a minimum and those lost/unaccounted for turn up safely. I wish there was more that I could do other than say my thoughts are with the Racketboy community's friends and family affected by this disaster.

Also, anybody who mentions anything xenophobic/prejudiced gets an instant ban. I'm not even kidding, don't even joke about that shit. I am absolutely sick to the back teeth of the moronic shit that has been coming out of certain people's mouths online and offline. I just cannot believe it.

On a lighter note I am pleased (albeit not too surprised) that I haven't read anything like that on here. I love you guys for that.

Is this for real?

9500/17000 people in Minami Sanriku, Miyagi pref., are unaccounted for? That is not good.

The earthquake was so fierce that the planet's axis been displaced by about 10 centimeters.
