Sega Genesis expansion port.
This is probably a stupid question, but what is the card in the expansion port for, specifically? I'm just wondering what it does.
Re: Sega Genesis expansion port.
Card? You mean the red cover? Or what?Xelyx wrote:This is probably a stupid question, but what is the card in the expansion port for, specifically? I'm just wondering what it does.

Oh, it's just a red cover on it? I thought it was some sort of expansion pack.
Re: Sega Genesis expansion port.
Ooh...lol no man, it's just a dust cover. If you slip it off, that's where a SEGA CD would plug in. Keeps the pins nice and clean until you make the awesome decision to get one.

Well, I feel stupid now. Thanks for the helpful response, though.

Hey man, the more you know! Maybe, now that you know, it's just a gateway drug into molesting your Genesis with a Sega CD and a 32x.Xelyx wrote:Well, I feel stupid now. Thanks for the helpful response, though.

Lmao, I definitely need to do that. There was an add-on that you could get to allow you to play Master System games on your Genesis, wasn't there?lwcook wrote:Hey man, the more you know! Sega Power base converter. It also kept the slot so you can play the Master System games that are on a HuCard.
