Re: Sega Video disc player
Judging by the back of that player, it looks like it was possibly used for one of Sega's Laserdisc arcade games they made in the 80s. http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=691
That's my guess anyway. Still a pretty neat device, especially if you can connect it to the TV and use it like a normal LD player.

Re: Sega Video disc player
Its an older top loader design so no digital freeze on this one, compared to newer dual sided players. It has an RS32 interface for the PCB. The video connections are not the normal Composite or S-Video, not sure if the BNC connections will correlate over to Component, S-Video or Composite. The other problem is the remote which normally sits in that top right tray. This means no chapter, scan or audio selections, just the light indicators in the front. But you can Play and Eject a disc, Laser Discs don't have a Menu like DVDs.
Definitely worth snagging as a Sega brand Collectors item.

Looks like a good item, but it's sold as-is and "all sales are final", untested.
You are taking a chance, but for the price it's not hat big of a risk.
Nice find!
