Considering purchasing a Sega Saturn so I have questions

Dodonpachi is a must if you like shmups. Not too expensive either.

Uhm, 60 bucks isn't that expensive? Maybe compared to something like Panzer Dragoon Saga and Radiant Silvergun, but I would hardly consider that "not too expensive" Just my opinion though. There are much cheaper games to play that are very fun as well. Though DoDonPachi IS pretty good

But yeah, to the OP Saturn is pretty awesome like pretty much everyone here has been saying. I'm sure you will find some games that will tickle your fancy.

I actually got my copy of Dodonpachi for $45, and I was being picky to get one prestine.

If you pay $60 for Dodonpachi, you got ripped off IMO (not that it isn't worth it, but I see it selling for less all the time).

Also, Radiant isn't the only one. Its cheap conpared to Batsugun, Garegga, Hyper Duel, Blast Wind, Steam Hearts, Cotton Boomerang, X-Multiply/Image Flight... yeah, for how good it is compared to those, Dodonpachi is not expensive in my books

I had managed to find a white SS at a garage sale for *gasp* $15. Now that's a deal for a Japanese system. I current;y have four different SS's: USA Model 2, White JPN Model (I think Model 2??), Skeleton JPN Model (Also might be a model 2), and a Goldish JPN model with black clear plastic by the power and open buttons.

Wow. $120 for that lot is very expensive, especially considering the worn out Pro Action Replay or Cart Slot. I have a Saturn unit with a dedicated PAR slot. That cart does not leave the slot for whatever reason. This guarantees against wear-n-tear (though not oxidization). While I would suggest Evildeadmanwalking77 try to find a PAR with a 25-pin parallel port on top (no longer in production), if only because a friend of mine made their very own USB adapter for it. (Unfortunately their software only takes the image of the cart's memory and not individual blocks.)

I remember I picked up my first Saturn back in 2000 for $20 because the seller only had sports games, demos, and Street Fighter: the Movie. It came with two controllers, the wrong video cable (Genesis) and a multi-tap. I think it was a fair price given that I had to take Street Fighter: the Movie off their hands.
