Sega Saturn 32-pin install pictures please!

Post by Zombie_X »

I ordered my Saturn mod-chip here and I couldn't tell where the wires exactly go from the pictures provided. Could some one take better pictures for me?

I'll try to soon -- I just haven't had time just yet.
If somebody else beats me to it, that's fine too :)

racketboy already has them up

it's really easy . i wouldn't worry about signal link, jumping A to B works fine .

if you want to solder the signal link to the board, it's the 14th pin on the i/c . apply flux and tin the wire and dab a bit of flux with a toothpick or something similar to pin 14 . it's a snap that way .

remember not to heat up the pin on the i/c for more than like 3 seconds, it may come undone or burn up the chip .

As promised, here are the high quality pictures I promised. You can replace those old, grungy ones with these nice and clean high quality ones rocketboy. You are free to use these, but give credit to me for shooting them.

Isn't the install the same on a Model 1? Sorry if it's more difficult. Did you think my pictures were good?

Your pictures are quite good..high res....and yes model 1 is much more of a pain because u have to cut and retrace routes on the modchip....its easy to screw up basically.
