I don't regard Earthbound as rare..... if earthbound is the rarest game you own then you don't own any rare games worth mentioning, go write on the forum about resale value.
a lot of games people say are rare are not, stop being ignorant, and think before someone suckers you with the overused rare tagline.

Well, having learnt that valuable doesn't mean rare, I don't know how to regard my Saturn specialities: Radiant Silvergun, Dungeon & Dragons Collection and Guardian Heroes (PAL).

Sounds pretty silly, doesn't it? Stick to using words that are actually bad, like stupid, dumb, terrible, lame, boring, etc.

And to stay on topic here, I managed to get my hands on the Japanese first edition of Pier Solar for the Mega Drive. There were only 800 of them made, so it's probably the rarest game I own now. I know it's homebrew, so I suppose one could argue that it doesn't really count for this topic. >_>

@Inazuma - Luck bastard I wanted a 1st ED of Pier Solar, but couldn't justify that big a payment towards homebrew :S but YEAH, rare indeed!

Hmm... Rarest game huh? I totally agree with the value != rarity statement, but going on that, I really don't have a good rule of thumb for detemining my rarest game.

Suikoden 2 for PSX
Tales of Destiny 1 and 2 for PSX
Lufia 2 for SNES

I ordered Railfan (chicago version) for PS3. That'll be added to my short "rare" list. I think it's the rarest PS3 game. Could be wrong. I'll pick it up soon.
