How would that make it any clearer for anyone? I am pretty sure even deaf people prefer to read text instead of read sign if they have their druthers. Text is just that much more accurate a form of communication with very little variance across dialects of the same language (Urdu and Sanskrit being the exceptions, of course) where as with sign language you have all kinds of variances you might encounter.

For instance, where as American Sign Language is the recognized standard in North America, people who sign as their primary form of communication tend to cluster together in small, close knit groups. It's understandable - you want to be near people who can speak your language. But any time you have a culture or community like that, it is inevitable that 'slang' will be developed. As more and more colloquial short-hand (see what I did there?) is used, it creates a gulf between one community of signers and another.

It's a real problem.

So assuming that you do know how to sign, I think that even then it would be a fruitless endeavor for you to do that. I think that, instead, typing your thoughts out coherently and thoughtfully with a bit of moderation for your more colorful metaphors will probably be the best course of action.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I am glad you asked.

Although we all of us live in different parts of the world, we mostly write in a form of English that is comprehensible to one another. That is because with English (and most other languages with phonetic alphabets) the variances in our language are almost all spoken. Niode might throw some random Brit slang in about rogering and having meat pies for Boxer Day or something like that...but we all know what he means because we all type in the same language.

Urdu and Sanskrit are incredibly similar languages when spoken - it's one of the reasons why it has been so hard for the Kashmir question to be answered. But they are written COMPLETELY differently. It's almost the opposite of Mandarin and Cantonese. How this developed is a mystery to researchers.
