I got myself a Passport Plus 3 adapter to play NTSC games on my PAL N64. This way I save a lot on titles like Conker and Paper Mario. Eventually I'll but an NTSC console but for now I'm fine. Anyway, I had problems getting Paper Mario (USA) to run and Google did not offer anything specific except that it's the one game that doesn't work. That turns out to be wrong. After some trial and error I found the code that works well (at least up to now), including Saving and Loading. It turned out to be the Boot Code for Super Smash Brothers (USA).
The code is:
E93E0658 00000000
I'm posting it here for the benefit of other PAL users.
BTW, Mario Golf uses the Mario Party (USA) Boot Code.

I know with the NTSC-U model it's possible to tab-cut to get other games. Isn't the same possible for the PAL version?Hateshinai wrote:I got myself a Passport Plus 3 adapter to play NTSC games on my PAL N64. This way I save a lot on titles like Conker and Paper Mario. Unluckily it's not enough with PAL N64s. There is a software lock-out mechanism as well.AmishSamurai wrote: I know with the NTSC-U model it's possible to tab-cut to get other games. Isn't the same possible for the PAL version?

Different regions. Japan is NTSC-J, so it's still NTSC. However, PAL runs differently from NTSC.AmishSamurai wrote: I know with the NTSC-U model it's possible to tab-cut to get other games. Isn't the same possible for the PAL version?
