Sonic 1 Master System UPC sticker Question

So I found this guy on craigslist and he says he has a copy of Sonic 1 for master system.He also said its In box and has the UPC sticker still there.My question is how does the sticker look like and where should it be placed (incase he makes a fake sticker,can you do that)and how do I know thats the original artwork for the box.

I'm asking this because we all know that the only difference is that little sticker.

there was a debate over at segaage about whether or not the sonic with the UPC sticker should be considered an official US release or not, since the whole packaging is identical expect for a sticker. during the back and forth, one member said that the sticker is right on the case, not the insert, and it could be easily faked.

i have never seen one before, but from what it sounds like, it definitely isn't worth the premium just for a sticker. what does he want to sell it for?

deals like this on CL always sound shady: i want to trade a super rare game for a game i can buy at any store. if it is an actual US release sonic with the UPC sticker he could get a lot more than 65 for it and wouldn't me wasting his time on CL.

Wow I need to get on more often, he ended up telling me that he already sold it to someone else.
