I'm bulding a Game Boy Theater

Post by Urban Champion-e »

For about two years I have dreamed of having a Game Boy Theater. It's slowly coming together but at this point it's in a non-complete form. Any recommendations on some things I may have forgotten or suggestions?

I have: 47" TV
Audio through Bose Wave
Game Cube w/ Game Boy Player
Super Nintendo w/ Super Game Boy
Mini Fridge for refreshments

I need: Wavebird controllers
home theater seating
projector
remote control screen
surround sound
wireless headphones
popcorn machine
Exit sign
little lights on floor
Don't be jealous I'm 8-bit all you Next-Gens!

Jeez, my house has most of this. Except the TV is 92" projection. :D

Now that I have the GCN component cable, I can do this when I go home.

Sweet. I'm looking forward to pictures.
I was thinking of building a Game Man, but after seeing how much work the body would be to make I decided against it.

If you are absolutely serious about this, consider the following setup to pimp your 'Cube: Overclocking mod, Optical Audio Mod, Component Cable, and 4 Wavebirds. It will be EPIC. 8)

if you're focus is Game Boy then you should really consider Hori pads rather than just Wave Birds. I understand wanting wireless, but still.

When you have it up and running you should play some gameboy demos on it:

http://vimeo.com/8154479
Careful with the popcorn butter on the controllers, it's hard to get off.
