This is what pisses me off about the whole "pre-order" fiasco when something comes out...
I looked on walmart, i looked on toys r us, i looked on best buy...NOBODY can agree on what games are coming out for launch here in the US. I'm tired of hearing "blah blah blah" from nintendo, it's next freaking month make up your damn minds already! Put out the friggin list.
I want to preorder mine from walmart, but I want to get pilotwings, steel diver, maybe lego star wars or Raving Rabbids for my wife. But of course even though many sites CLAIM those are launch titles only a few games show up online. I don't want to wait until the last minute and get screwed out of getting a 3ds, but I also don't want to purchase a game I don't want just to say I have one.
I could care less about street fighter version 917 super special deluxe ginormous edition point 2 (before they re-release it sixty more times). I don't give two shits about ridge racer and "dinosaur combat" which will sell what, TWO copies?
I want to see PILOTWINGS and STEEL DIVER on walmart. I am not giving a penny to gamestop, why is nintendo being such a prick about this?
So for those of you wanting to preorder..what are you getting?

Nintendo's already put out a list. Someone posted it in one of the other 3DS threads.ajsracket wrote:This is what pisses me off about the whole "pre-order" fiasco when something comes out...

First of all...calm down. It's video games. It's video games that are not even for sale yet. Just hold on to your money - the buying will occur!ajsracket wrote:This is what pisses me off about the whole "pre-order" fiasco when something comes out...

Secondly, Nintendo has already put out the list of games they will have at launch. They have even gone so far as to comment on why certain titles will not be there. But that is all that Nintendo can do. The 3rd Party companies will release their own software as they please.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
Re: 3DS Preorder Drama
The handheld's availability is going to be more limited than the games. I'd recommend preordering the 3DS and if they don't have the games you want at the place you want to shop at for preorder you can probably pick them up when they launch no problem.

I played the 3ds tonight, and the short answer is I'm waiting

So, you're saying you weren't impressed? Which games did you get to play?Bradtemple87 wrote:I played the ds tonight, and the short answer is I'm waiting

I agree, I wouldn't fret getting a hold of a single title. None of the Killer Apps are launching with the DS, so it shouldn't be hard to find what you want.MrPopo wrote:The handheld's availability is going to be more limited than the games. I also agree since the hardware will be much harder to find. The 3DS is lacking any major launch software aside from maybe Street Fighter IV 3D so it shouldn't be hard to find what you want.MrPopo wrote:The handheld's availability is going to be more limited than the games. Re: 3DS Preorder Drama
I played a solid dozen matches of SFIV3DS last night. It has all the features of the console version, but the 3D aspect feels very temperamental. You have to look dead on at an exact angle to view the 3D or the image freaks out on you.CFFJR wrote:So, you're saying you weren't impressed? Re: 3DS Preorder Drama
I can't think of many times when there was a shortage of a certain game at launch. The hardware is what sells out, not the games.
