2600 first run, I bet a couple thousand the second run. I prefer the clamshell, I am pretty sure most do. But I think we all disagree on the more money less stuff crap they pulled. >.>

Id figure they would have the mindset of Working Designs where every game is a collectors edition and market it as such, no matter how much it cost (but it would cost them in the end).

From what I've heard current emulators won't support the 64Meg size and emulator developers have decided not to support a 64Meg cart, instead putting support behind the developer.

They developed the game from scratch. It's not like they made a game 20 years ago and are trying to milk cash out of it with a tenth reissue or something. How about this: supporting a group of people that are so into retro-gaming, they worked their asses off and actually developed a brand new game? Hell, it's $45 bucks - less than most current system games, and you're encouraging further development of new games on retro systems.

You're saying they are charging too much, so you plan on just stealing it for free when/if a ROM is available? Man, you really have a piss poor attitude.

So while I want to support the developers, I'm mighty poor right now. I'd be more than willing to buy the game the next time a reprint comes around but the big question that is holding me back is.......How is the actually game?

I see all kinds of support for the game being made, and while I see no fault with that, is it worth buying for more collectors fetish?

You don't think some emulators can't be changed to support 64MB ROM's easily? HA! And I am a developer, I understand what goes into these games, but to supply a run of such low quality, they must not care too much about the consumer, so why should I care?

Nice. Says a lot about your character. So, you're cool with people ripping off something you've worked on, I take it?

As a developer, I'd think you would understand a little more. Maybe they couldn't afford a larger initial run? Maybe they felt that they needed to give thanks to those who supported them from the beginning and provided the funds to make the project possible? Maybe it wasn't fiscally viable to keep offering the extra book, etc., with future runs? Most people who supported them from the beginning waited years to get their copy, so maybe they deserve the included extras.

Even without all the extras, if $45 too much to ask for a brand new game?

So in life, generally, if you want something, but think it's overpriced or isn't a good value, do you typically steal it when given the chance? Maybe you just shouldn't have it in the first place, man.

Way to support your fellow developer, douchebag.

If they screw over the customer like Watermelon did with this release, I hope pirates start making CIB copies! I'd care because I won't pull BS about users coming in late getting a inferior product because they "didn't wait as long and don't deserve it"

You're a kid who put out an unfinished, unplayable beta of a very simple game. That's not really the same thing.

:?: How is it any different than a pre-order bonus? Those who pre-order pay the same as the game is new, but get more stuff because they were "waiting for it". By pre-ordering something you are telling the developer how much interest there is in a title, you are providing them a service. Common business practice chum.
