Because my PS1 MGS disc was scratched, I started playing Twin Snakes. Right now I'm up to the part where Snake is locked up after dealing with the chick sniper. My only complaint so far is that the cut scenes are getting longer and longer. Do MGS2 and 3 both have ridiculously long cut scenes?

Lol... uh oh MGS4 has some pretty long cutscenes; I believe the ending of the game is around 90 minutes. I think in MGS2 there are also a few long ones (over 30 min).

 I suppose since I've suffered throught and beaten Xenosaga all other games' long cutscenes seem tame.

When I played Xenosaga all I could think to myself was that it'd be better as an anime series or something. Then I found out there was an anime series. Ironically the anime didn't work very well.

if you don't like cutscenes.. get away from MGS as fast as possible!

as for the pic in the first post, i think that is the MGS essentials version of the game

Aww, I love the cutscenes in the MGS series. That's another reason why I dislike Twin Snakes, they fucked with the cutscenes.

I just can't deal with long ass cutscenes, especially when they occur frequently. I'm already on the second disc of Twin Snakes, so I'm gonna at least finish it. So does MGS2 and 3 have longer cutscenes than Twin Snakes, or about the same?

MGS4 has 20-30 minute scenes and a 90 minute end scene!? I'm afraid I wont be playing that one.

You have a problem watching the cutscenes? Whenever I'm doing a playthrough to watch the story, I just sit back and enjoy the ride. I never feel,"When is this scene gonna be over?". I just watch through and I'm back into gameplay.

Of course, that's me, and I know a lot of people don't like the length of the cutscenes. As for MGS3, that ones my favorite one in the series, and I felt that had a nice balance of gameplay and cutscenes.
