PAL Games on NTSC Dreamcast using GameShark Lite?

Post by yokozuna »

I have a dreamcast and Gameshark Lite and I am trying to play Shenmue II on it. I borrowed a friend's converter disc, which works fine, but I can't burn it. Are there any websites that explain how to use the Gameshark to play import games or does anyone know firsthand? Much appreciated.

I think you may need to either download a disk image of an import player. or images of shenmue 2, as im not sure if the real games have a hz selector. of course you could just play it on xbox.

yeah, but I'm not really interested in listening to the English Dubs and much prefer the original language with subtitles. Still not sure what you mean by disc images. If you could explain that would be great.

a disc image is an ISO of a disc... As if someone copied the disc to the computer and put it up on the internet for other people to download and burn to a blank disc.

Found the answer.. you just create a new cheat code with any number/letter combo and play on that code, for anybody else who might be wondering. Works like a dream(cast)!

i don't understand your dilemma (sp?)...

if you have a gameshark lite, why not just use that as the boot disc to boot up shenmue 2? i personally use a gameshark lite to boot my japan import games (never had a PAL import) and it works fine... is it a burned copy of shenmue or something?
