bit generation

Post by Dude »

Does this series coming out of Japan still play on American GBA's? And do you know where I can look for these below the $20+ price tag?

yes, all GB, GBC and GBA carts are region free.

No, you probably won't find those below $20. A couple go for cheaper than the others, so you might nab Orbital for $25 for instance. But for the most part, you're looking at $30+ for each one.

Are all the manuals written in Japanese?

I had four of them. I wouldn't expect to find them for all that cheap of a price. They're somewhat collectable. GBA cartridges are region free. The manuals, I believe, were all in Japanese. But that's a non issue since the games more or less require no instructions and are self explanatory. My favorite is probably Dotstream.

They're fine for what they are. Little games, art projects, collectibles, etc.

Several of them have since been expanded on as DSiWare or WiiWare titles and are arguably made better "games".

they're not crap. They're very artful. Very interesting. Very collectible. But in the massive piles of GBA carts I was sitting, I found it hard to justify what was essentially an expensive mini-game that I had never played for more than 3 minutes a sitting.
