Same thing happened to my copy of Super Street Fighter II, I just busted out the super glue and went at it. Though I'm assuming that that isn't the best course of action to take. And if I remember correctly it started to come off again.

If it is just peeled up a bit and flopping around, you can fix it with white glue. I have some specifically for paper, but plain old white school glue will work. Clean off the cart surface and try to get any dust off that might have stuck to the back of the label if it is still a bit sticky. Put a drop of white glue on a piece of paper and cut yourself a piece of thick paper or thin cardboard into a swab stick with a chisel angled point. Get a small amount of glue on your swab and carefully smear it on the back of the label that's exposed. You want it to be as thin as possible, so the angled tip will help you drag across. Then stick the label down and wipe up any glue that squeezes out. You'll then want to do something to keep pressure on the label for a few hours. I rolled up some paper towel then used a pen or something solid against it with rubber bands to hold it in place.

Yeah, if it's just peeling, I would glue it back down. Even though it's starting to peel, it's a pain in the ass to get those labels off.

If the label is super destroyed and you want to replace it, it is possible. You have to completely remove the label, which is kinda hard. You'll need Goo Gone and a razor blade. That's how I do it, anyway. Others have told me about soaking in HOT water, or pointing a blow dryer at it in an enclosed space for a few minutes.

As far as getting a new label goes, you can get some sticker paper, like some kind of Avery adhesive label. Or even better, try and find an adhesive backed photo paper. I have used both with different degrees of success. Check out my home made Genesis labels here:

As far as getting the labels, usually you'll have to make them yourself. Some times you can find a scan on the internet. The Cover Project will some times have the labels, if not, it's a good place to get the cover art from to make a label.

Awesome custom labels, Ziggy! What are you using for design/layout?

I was thinking of using super glue, too. But good to know that just plain old white school glue will work. Thanks Hobbie!

Yeah, I've used regular old Elmer's school glue on a hand full of labels that started to peel. Never had a problem with one after I glued it. The best part about the school glue is it's easy to clean off, so you don't have to be careful when applying it to the cartridge. I usually always get a bunch of excess glue on the plastic and top of the label, I just wipe it off (comes off easily). Of course, you wouldn't be able to do this with some sort of crazy glue.

My labels are just Photoshop and The Cover Project/Google image search.
