As many of you may know, and are probably sick of hearing about, I just recently completed my 32x game collection. I've amassed complete copies of all US 32x releases when Brutal arrived in the mail today.
Tonight I was laying them out to take a photo of all the games in their yellow box glory and found I am missing Star Wars Arcade. I bought my copy new and it is in excellent shape but for the life of me I can't locate it! No way would I have sold it off! I've moved stuff around a lot lately but I scourred my storage closet and any box that could even remotely contain video games, my video game laden entertainment center and my computer office. I recall recently using the game to test my 32x when I was having trouble getting Chaotix to boot and I had it in the office recently when I was making scans of some 32X boxes for the guys at Sega-16 so I know it's around here somewhere, but where?!
Well, as soon as I find it or buy another copy I'll post a photo of all 36 games I've gathered together. Damn this pisses me off!
Son of a freakin' beyatch!

There are a few others that weren't released in the US such as FIFA Soccer but even including other regions' exclusives there were only about 40 games. Add to that the fact that many of the games weren't really unique in any way from the same game issued on Genesis or Sega CD or both that there was little reason to actually buy a 32X. I remember buying my 32X thinking it would allow me to have Saturn level gaming by just upgrading my Genesis instead of buying a really expensive Saturn. Well, I guess I was entirely wrong about that (the marketing at the time worked on me I guess) and I ended up buying a Saturn eventually anyway.Mozgus wrote:Wow, it only had 36 games? Still, good job.
True to form, I was also one of those who later held off on buying a Dreamcast to wait and see if it was going to survive. I eventual bought a Dreamcast just a few years ago, but back in the days I went with PS2 and was pretty happy with that decision. I was and still am sad to see Sega get out of the hardware business and now not be capable of making world class games. I can't tell you the last time I bought a Sega game new and that wasn't for a retro system.
Well at least you are only missing an easy one.
BTW -- I'll take those cover scans as well.
Are you doing the backs and sides as well?
I could have a couple different uses for them....

I just scanned the front covers of about a dozen games. If you want more scans let me know. I'll send you the ones I already have saved on my computer.racketboy wrote:Well at least you are only missing an easy one.

Anything you could give me would be appreciated. And the higher resolution, the betterScooter wrote:I just scanned the front covers of about a dozen games. If you want more scans let me know. Don't think Star Wars Arcade is to expensive? Though mabey complete it is, I got a complete one with the 32x I bought before the holiday. FIFA and Romance of Three Kingdoms might be neat to add your collection also, but as for DarXide.....better to buy the mobile version of it!
