You can't go wrong with either one of the No More Heroes games, both are excellent titles that you can get for relatively cheap.
Also, I didn't see anyone else mention this one, but Wario Land: Shake It is a fantastic title with hand-drawn animation that doesn't cost as much as any of the Mario games yet still scores highly in the "nostalgic platformer" department; I got mine on eBay for ten bucks and it was absolutely worth every penny.
Nice, shiny, new Wii!

Agreed. They're both awesome. It's just a double bonus that they're pretty cheap nowExtraCrispy wrote:You can't go wrong with either one of the No More Heroes games, both are excellent titles that you can get for relatively cheap.

Yes it does, but I'm buying Tatsunoko long before I pick these titles up.

Re: Nice, shiny, new Wii!
Finished Donkey Kong Country Returns-which was fun, but doesn't beat the classic originals-and picked up a copy of Punch Out today. I found the nunchuk set up awkward at first, but I started kind of getting used to it after a few bouts. I did work my way up to Bear Hugger. I just love this game's presentation. The cartoony look has always been one of the things I love about Punch Out games.
So now I own DKC Returns, Sin and Punishment 2 and Punch Out. So after looking through all of suggestions in this thread, I plan on eventually checking out:
Klonoa
Epic Mickey
Sonic Colors
Tatsunoko vs Capcom
No More Heroes 1 and 2-Kind of hard to pass them up given the low prices
Madworld-Also too cheap to not at least give it a shot
Warioland Shake It
House of the Dead: Overkill
Okami and Resident Evil 4(Two of my favorite games of all time, might as well get the Wii versions)
These are at the top of my list, but I might check out every single game mentioned here if I can find the time(and the funds). So far I find the motion controls for the Wii pretty accurate, as long as you stay within the sensor's range. Playing Punch Out, Sin and Punishment 2 and Donkey Kong shows me that they can work for serious titles and not just party games and shovel ware. I'm happy with my purchase.
