Saturn startup crash

Saturn startup crash
Every other time I switch on my Saturn it crashes during the startup logo and loops the sound. Has anyone else had this problem and anybody know a fix if there is one or is it time to fork out for a white japanese model 2?
I haven't slept for ten days, because that would be too long.

Are you using some kind of converter in the cart slot?

Im not using anything other than an official memory card but the problem still happens when the memory card isnt in the saturn. Ive got two saturns and they both have the exact same problem.
I haven't slept for ten days, because that would be too long.
