Super Famicom cartridge bags

Post by 99TEARS »

Hi all.

My first post in the forums :)

This is one that's been bugging me for a while and I can't seem to find a solution - Does anyone know where I can source some clear plastic bags that match the dimensions of the old Super Famicom cartridge bags? There's nothing worse than having a complete box, inlay cards and manual without that pesky bag around your cart to finish it off... Grr!

I have seen the clear cases several times before but never the bags. Message Breetai or some of the members who live/have lived over there :D

He means the plastic bags that held the cart, and was then put in the cardboard tray when they were brand new, not the resealing plastic bags that Japanese shops use on games and disc cases. All Nintendo 8 and 16 bit console carts originally came with them. Unfortunately I don't know either. I'm sure someplace that makes poly bags will have ones the right dimension or very close.

All righty. I thought you didn't since you referred to asking members in Japan.

I suggested that because I have not seen them for sale in any domestic stores.

No idea where you'd find that, aside from taking them from other games.

Thanks for the info guys. I think I'll spend some time researching this one. I'm pretty sure I could source some anti-static polyurethene bags that match the old SFC ones (they seem to be the closest match). If I find a supplier I'll post a link :)
