I've got to believe that is a rare case! I do believe you, though. I've opened a Wii before, but I forget if there is an easy way to adjust the laser mechanism. Was it much of an issue for you?

no i took it to my repair guy who is nintendo certified and 5 mins later i was back to gaming he has fixed this problem on a few wii's mostly launch edtion like mine so it takes time and hundreds of hours of happy gaming
