Cool new genesis games out there

so i heard about Legend of Wukon and bought a copy. It came in last week, i havent given it a whirl yet. (BTW to those who bought it.. is it supposed to come open? The game wasn't sealed which i found kinda lame)

It got me doing some searching for 'new' Genesis games out there. There are 3 that i found that sounded pretty good

LEGEND OF WUKONG (got it)
Beggar Prince
and
Pier solar

Beggar Prince unfortunately seems to be out of print, and so does Pier Solar. Though suposedly there may be a reprinting. I do see a thread here about Pier Solar as well.

This has me wondering; are there any other new Genesis games out there i should look for? It seems like i may have missed out on some of the cool ones since they had limited runs. Any new SNES games would be cool too if anyone happens to know any

So as I understand it neither Beggar Prince or Legend of Wukong are new games; they're merely translations of games that were China only. Super Fighter Team is also releasing Star Odyssey, and based on the graphics it's probably a translation of a game from the same era.

I have both Beggar Prince and Legend of Wukong, but I've only played a little Beggar Prince. It's very rough around the edges, but it does do some unique things with the combat system.

That's unfortunate, I hate when unique projects fall short. I'll save my money for whenever Pier Solar gets restocked

like i said, i havent actually played it yet. I'll have to give it a test soon though. Is it suposed to come not wrapped? I found it weird it wasn't sealed. The art style was interesting. Though the pig character looks dumb

@mrpopo are you sure about that? I thought they were new games, hmm. Too bad to hear about Beggar prince, i heard really good things about it. Oh and awesome avatar. IM a couple epps away from wrapping that series up =)

Legend of Wukong was originally developed by a Taiwanese game company and was released there in 1996. Super Fighter Team bought the rights, translated the game and fixed any errors that needed to be fixed and then re-released it world-wide. You can find the untranslated rom online somewhere, I'm sure of it.

I'm not sure about Beggar Prince or Star Odyssey's respective development histories, but I'm pretty sure that Super Fighter Team had/will have the same hand in the eventual english releases. I don't think they're developing new games (maybe they did one, I'm not entirely sure), but are rather publishers, who just so happen to do some minor development work to prepare the releases.
