So this makes me think of what would happen if this became a norm for video games. How would console shooter fans be able to compete against PC players?
Now I wish cross ownership applied to all consoles. Buy a game on the PS3, get the 360 version for free

Microsoft actually planned to do a PC vs 360 setup, but the mouse and keyboard gives you such a ridiculous advantage that the console players kept getting wiped every time. However, I think some companies should try a "for $5-10 extra dollars you can get it crossplatform as a digital download" thing.

This does sound really cool, but I would guess there's gonna be some trick to stop you from still playing the Steam version if you sell the PS3 version.
I feel old when talking to anyone my age yet too inexperienced to effectively talk to anyone older. Life is grand that way.

This is a non-issue for Portal 2 though as its multi-player is co-op, so having an advantage in controls doesn't help you at all.

You're right. I've played both the PC version and the X360 version and the X360 version was such a pain in the ass to place portals. Still probably won't be a problem if there aren't any timed puzzles.
I was going to post a link from Joystiq saying how evidently the PS3 version of portal 2 will be Move-compatible, but evidently they were mistaken. Probably for the better- wii FPS games drive me nuts with the wiimote controls

Actually, that is a big disappointment to me. I have played an FPS with the Move, and it is actually quite enjoyable. The demo they showed with the Razr controller was awfully impressive, and could have easily been done with the move. Oh well, maybe it will come through an update.
