I talked to Racket last night about updating the link on the forums to match the new chat room... maybe we don't want to do that..
So users, do we want to use the one on the first page of this post or the one linked in the menu?
If we decide on the one in this post the link will be changed. Please share your input.

Stick with Gamesurge, it works all the time, it's practically lag free, allows IRC clients, bot-free, a flash applet can be made (and has been made already thanks to Jeffro11) and I don't see a reason to go back to everywherechat. EVER. It's a piece of shit, laggy, too many bots and it doesn't allow IRC clients any more.

I suddenly can not sign into IRC chat. I have logged on a lot, in fact was on for a couple of minutes this morning. Now it says:

Your IP is being listed as being an infecting drone, or otherwise not fit to join the IRC community. (D/BL)

What do I do to fix it? It does not work from my client either.

You can go to the gamesurge.net homepage. You might be on an IP range that got banned because other people were using that range to do bad stuff. If you did you might be able to appeal it.

I want to point out that Rizon has fully-supported browser chatboxes (see one I've made: http://sycosb.webs.com ), also supports IRC clients, and bots are completely optional; however, they improve the channel.

Note that "Trivia" in the linked channel is a bot and is completely optional (though maybe a dedicated Racketboy trivia channel?).
