I say the NFL should make the seeding system like the NBA. Say the Bucks win the division and have the #1 seed, but the Cavs go in as a wild card team with a slightly worse record then the Bucks, then the Cavs would be in #2 seed if they have the second best record in the EastRadarScope1 wrote:I was really hoping to see the new OT rules go into effect in the Bal/Pitt game. Oh well, maybe today it will happen. That first game Saturday was GREAT. The NFL just never fails as an entertainment product. Always fun to watch this time of year.
I tend to agree about the seeding, but it begs the question: What will be the reward for division winners over wildcard teams? 98 times out of 100 the division winners will have better records than wildcard teams, but when situations like this arise - what do they do?

I don't think there should be a rewardRadarScope1 wrote:What will be the reward for division winners over wildcard teams? 98 times out of 100 the division winners will have better records than wildcard teams, but when situations like this arise - what do they do?

Well, without giving a psychology lesson, in a nutshell it comes down self-esteem (lack of) and jealousy.YoshiEgg25 wrote:Why does everyone love to throw hate on the Bears?
When your history includes legendary things like: The Decatur Staley's, Papa Bear Halas, Soldier Field, Ditka, Sayers, Payton, Sausage, Urlacher, and the Super Bowl Shuffle - it's simple. You contrast that to say, the Packers: Beer that tastes like piss, a pride in their milk and cheese, and well, that's it. Jealousy is the byproduct - and henceforth, the "hatin'".

Jealousy? ha! What's their to be jealous about, 1 Super bowl title? Packers have 3 Super bowl titles and 12 NFL Championships titles! Not to mention Lambeau field, Vince Lombardi, Brett Frave, Bart Starr, Aaron Rodgers, Donald Driver, Mike Holmgren, Clay Mathews, Charles Woodson, etc.mjmjr25 wrote:Well, without giving a psychology lesson, in a nutshell it comes down self-esteem (lack of) and jealousy.YoshiEgg25 wrote:Why does everyone love to throw hate on the Bears?

The Packers have won 1 Super Bowl. The "1st and 2nd" "Super Bowls" were called the NFL Championship, the were renamed "Super Bowls" post haste.XxBroBuzzxX wrote:Jealousy? ha! ...and did you really come back at Dick Butkus and Mike Ditka with Clay Mathews and Donald Driver. What, no Don Majkowski or Lynn Dickey love?
