Re: Austin, TX Racketboy Dreamcast meet - Sunday Jan 16th

I've mapped out an itinerary of sorts. Do not feel obligated to follow, however. These are just suggestions.

I checked the Pinballz website and they still close at 8pm on Sundays. I really want the meet up to migrate there so I was trying to come up with a time line. Hobie and I also wanted to head over to Gourdough's at some point. And for those who haven't been to Austin and Arcade UFO yet, it's a must.

So I'm thinking:

Noon - 6pm Game Over Videogames Dreamcast meet & game. We can shut the meet up down a little early if people are getting hungry. In previous meet ups stomachs start grumbling around 5pm.

After Game Over everyone eats wherever they want and we slowly trickle into Pinballz and game until they close. This should give everyone a good 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours to experience the place.

When Pinballz shuts down at 8pm I am heading to Gourdough's. I will do my best to put myself in a diabetic coma. I think phaedrus and Hobie are with me on this one.

When I have recovered from Donuts that should not exist I am heading to UFO.

I second the motion.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Oh, if I have anything in my sale thread that people are interested in, speak up and I'll bring it. I already have a trade to complete with the Flakester and Wipeoutguy.

Dang, sounds like a great plan. Unfortunately once school kicked in I was reminded of how much the "learning experience" costs (financially and mentally), so I think I'll be sitting this one out. Part of my reluctance stems from my brothers being swamped as well, so even if I ended up going it'd just be me.
:?

During the Spring or Summer breaks this probably won't be as much of an issue, hope you guys continue to gather around then. Still looking forward to hearing about this meet up, sounds like it'll be an awesome event all around (you can't go wrong with donuts and Dreamcast)!

Hey wip3outguy7.

Virtual On Oratorio Tangram multiplayer would be dope. I have my twin sticks if you need a spare. From what I understand, VOOT supports two TV vs. play, correct? Do you have the necessary connections if I were to bring the sticks?

Also, thanks for hosting the meet-up. I can't wait for the weekend. It's been a rather eventful week to say the least...this is downtime that I absolutely need. haha.

On one last note, does anyone have Street Fighter Third Strike and would be willing to bring it?
My copy is not legitimate, unfortunately.

I have Street Fighter 3: Double Impact if we do not have a copy of 3rd Strike

Unfortunately I was never able to acquire the hardware to put a dual screen VOOT set up together. If you have a VOOT Disc, definitely bring it along with the sticks. We could still have plenty of fun with split screen!

We will be able to play on the actual Virtual On cab at Pinballz after the meet, however. Either way, Virtual On will be played.
