Zelda 64 Collector's Edition pricing

Post by Stark »

So, I was looking through my old videogame stuff and found a CIB, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Collector's Edition), seems to be minty, but I haven't inspected it too much yet. Anyone know of worth? Rarityguide.com seems to run high and has it listed at $83. I'll post it in the B/S/T as soon as I am allowed (about 10 days) or you can PM before then.

I don't think it's actually worth anywhere near $83. Rarityguide's prices aren't something I'd go by.

In fact, there are several BIN's on ebay of OOT collector's edition complete, all at just a little less than $55. That's not even looking at completed listings, which I'm sure are at least $5-$10 lower, if not more.

Cool, well that's what I was looking for, cause I know those prices are high. I'll add it to my B/S/T for a reasonable price and if someone wants it they can grab it. I'm a little torn about selling it anyway, I don't collect for the Nintendo 64, but it's Zelda...

For the record, I'd say ~$60 is the most you should ever pay for any CIB n64 game besides 64DD stuff.

Just from my experience.

Cool~ :D My EB also had a dedicated line for those who made reservations and one for those who didn't. The non-reservation line was out the door down about 3 or 4 shops. It felt good to walk right up to the counter and leave in a minute.
Also, I remember buying MGS1 either that same day or slightly earlier or later than Z:OoT came out. That was a good time that year for gaming. :)

Aw man, I was totally looking forward to the 64DD way back when, anything worth getting on the import scene? Not that I have an import N64 or anything...
