Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

My plan is to go back and get into an MAT program in Education. That will make things a little better.

I've got a degree in professional writing, not that it does me any good in this economy, and I've enjoyed some of the articles here on the site so I thought I'd visit the forum.
Welcome - you'll here this again and you've probably already heard. Many of us are on numerous forums, but we all gravitate back here. A great and respectful community, enjoy!

Hi just found this thread. I joined about a week ago. 32-year-old gamer here, just up and decided to start collecting for the Sega Saturn and Sega CD. I started earnestly collecting about 4 months ago and have a good start on my collection, with the jewels I have collected so far being: Guardian Heroes, Burning Rangers, Magic Knight Rayearth, and Dragon Force (3 of 4 of the disc variants).
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

What's up everyone? I'm new in town. I was actually pulled in here from Gamespot's website. Seems like a good place, so I decided to stay. Hope I can get some good conversation retro-gaming.

Some personal stuff about me:
I'm a proud Christian and happily married. Born and raised in Northern California. I've been a gamer for life, and started on the Atari 2600, but really fell in love with gaming on the NES. I'm a bit of a game collector, too, owning everything from Atari 2600 to XBox 360, Wii & DS and a bunch of systems in-between

I'm also a huge geek in general. On top of gaming, I'm also a big comic book fan (DC & Marvel, Green Lantern is #1), a horror & sci-fi fan (and a Trekkie), a wrestling fan (yeah, as in the fake wrestling), and I'm a big metal-head. I listen to most any metal, as long as it's not straight-Satanic like Dimmu Borgir or something.

I'm a bit more North than that. I'm in Redding. But thanks for the invite.

Alright, let's try this again. I've been looking for a good community to settle in and I found myself here. Let's see how it works out!

Just trying to find a place with good conversations on cool video game things and the cool people who hold those conversations.

I don't have a massive library of video games, but it is my perpetual hobby. Occupation even. It occupies me. Less now than then. Been in a slump. Hoping to recharge those batteries by coming to a cool place. Thanks!

You get the idea. IM handles in the profile. :)

Is that a Pearl Jam reference? I think Yield is their best album.
