I've not tested, but that's the impression I got. They also only work with the japanese version of games I do believe. So no 50 extra levels for players of the US GBA version of SMB4, and no extra trainers and mechanics for pokemon firered and pokemon pinball ruby & sapphire.emwearz wrote:Japanese Cards only work with Japanese games / e-reader.

From Wiki.Even though Game Boys and DSs are region-free, Japanese e-Reader cards work only on Japanese e-Readers, etc
Still need to try out pokemon cards with my e-Reader. It seems I ahve one or two of the cards that give mini games at home, so next time I'm home from Uni it's something I should check.
