Dreamcast Tux downloading help

I've never had a problem with 7z and WinRAR files. I haven't bothered to install Win Zip or RAR for years now, just 7z.

i have dowloaded quite a few of Tux's Dreamcast games and say 4 out of 20 were damaged Archives. I re-downloaded the damaged 4 and they extract perfectly now , you may have a damaged Archive and it needs to be re-downloaded.

im not sure if that question is for me but in my case i downloaded each game manually without a download manager.

It was at you. No reason really, I was just curious.

You should check them out though, makes downloading multiple parts a LOT easier from shitty sites like Mega Upload and all those. Tux recommended Jdownloader, which I tried, and liked.

acutally i was going to install Jdownloader but then read from a Google search that it contains malware or spyware so i downloaded each game the hard way.

Huh. I haven't had it installed in a while, but I had it installed for a period of time in which I used it a lot. Downloaded lots of stuff using it. Never had a problem. Nothing ever came up in any of my virus scans (AVG Free, Malwarebytes, SpyBot).

Hey, Snesorama has hella popups and shit. Get Tux releases from Dreamcast-Talk. It is his home base and he posts all his releases there first anyways. You must register first to see the downloads index, but it is a better forum and has no shitty popups and adware.

Plus, the site has dedicated servers for 5 Dreamcast games that still work online to this day, and you can set up a PC-DC server on your computer to play games over broadband on the 56k modem the dreamcast comes with.

I hope to see more of you Dreamcast owners there, as we have a large community dedicated to all things DC related, and even have a support thread to help folk with any Dreamcast related problems they may have.

You also need to make at least one posting before you can see the download section. Otherwise, it's blocked. I discovered this over the weekend.
