I didn't fancy Outrage all that much :( I'll check out Caterpillar and the live action Yamato movie later!

This year was actually a terrible year for movies IMO, but here's my top list:

1. Toy Story 3
2. Iron Man 2
3. Kick-Ass
4. Shutter Island
5. Machete

And keep in mind, the only movie on that list I'll ever watch again probably is Toy Story 3. Also, I have yet to see TRON: Legacy and True Grit. Oh and pS: I HATED Inception, it made no sense.

Were those review quotes for Toy Story 3 and Black Swan meant to be taken sarcastically or do they reflect your opinion on the movies? I haven't seen the rest of those movies so I can't tell if the rest of the quotes are ill-fitting as well. I just know Toy Story 3 was easily the most emotional of them all, and Black Swan got great reviews.

There's no sarcasm involved. I did enjoy those movies immensely, and there will be more once they hit DVD.

Fixed :P

My gripes with Inception were addressed elsewhere, but from a screenplay pov it made perfect sense for me, just not what I wanted to watch, therefore not among my favourites.

Last night I watched a movie that either came out in 2009 or 2010 called Moon. It's directed by David Bowie's son, Duncan Jones. It was an awesome Psychological SciFi Thriller. You can stream it as an instant-play on Netflix if you're interested. It's one of the most unique SciFi stories I have seen in a long time. It felt kind of like The Cube meets 2001: A Space Odyssey. It's best if you don't know what it is about though. All of the suspense is about trying to figure out what is really going on.

Otherwise, my favorite movies have been similar to others here: Scott Pilgrim, Inception, 127 Hours. I've been meaning to see Black Swan, but haven't yet. The new Harry Potter was also an interesting though morose detour for the series.

I think I only saw two 2010 movies, Scott Pilgrm and Machete.

Machete was dissapointing on many levels, it took itself too seriously to be fun and felt stretched and very down to Earth. There were long sequences between each gag and the film felt very dilluted. Also the timing in most gags was off, ruining most of the movie for me.

I refuse to call the rest of stuff I saw movies.

There were a couple of movies that I saw this year that deserve to be mentioned.

Enter The Void was a fucking trip that I need to take again

True Grit was good but felt a bit weak

Monsters could have been greater but as is, its still pretty good

Inception
was fantastic for bringing something new (for me at least)

Tron Legacy
is a start to a series that looks promising
