Hey,
just received a saturn claimed to be full working order, which i beleive because i know the person....said they played it for a few hours just to make sure
anyways, i get the system, and it doesnt want to power on.
So, i got it to power on (after several attempts of putting in the wall adapter) finally got it working. Played for about 10 minutes, then the system shut off, and turned itself back on again, starting at the beginning sceen to choose language.
Now, i shut it off, and try to turn it back on, doesnt want to turn on.
Is this a common problem with the saturn?? what could i do to fix this?? everything looks mint wires connection etc look great, whats the deal??? you think my wall adapter is messed, or something more than that???
any recommendation is appreciated..

What do you mean wall adapter? It is just a straight cord, the power transformer is in side the Saturn. If you pull the cord to one side or the other does it go on and off? Perhaps something in the cord is wrenched or a solder joint on the power plug is messed up and needs a touch up.

the ac cord is always loose on the saturn, at least on mine it is.
there is no notches on the saturn to hold the cord to it, so when you place it somewhere, try no to move it too much. otherwise the cord comes off.
check to see that where the plug goes in, that it is not cracked, I've seen saturns like that in fleamarkets
hope this helps

There is no AC adapter for the Saturn. It's just a power plug.
What country are you in? You seem to have a lot of systems that have issues with power. Does your country's power sockets put out 120volts or 240volts?

You mentioned a faulty cord. It very well could be that. I've had a PSP cord that fizzled out and plenty of cheap guitar cables that do the same. Make sure it looks like this : http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Go-27399-P ... 739&sr=8-2 Maybe you are using a non polarized one? (Both sides are round)

That's odd, it should look like this.

This is a picture of my Model 1 (with oval buttons) and my Model 2s are the same. I've never seen one without the notches. Does the socket on the Saturn look modded?

Hmm odd. Maybe yours is an especially early one? Does it maybe not have the "A" at the end of the model number?
Anyway, if you've tried wiggling the cord to see if it was that or the socket on the system, I'd open it up just for a look.
