Smile: Wife came to work for lunch.

Ticked: Somehow my car key came off my keychain and landed on my passenger seat without me knowing, and I locked myself out of my car.

Smile: AAA

Ticked off - Boss's Boss just told me that too many people have days off next week and he might have to revoke my vacation - even though I have seniority. I already made plans with the girlfriend and have invested nonrefundable money into the week.

Ticked: Some one sent me a link to an internet radio station and it needed a plug in, I stupidly downloaded it from the link and got a massive amount of malicious software. I reformatted this morning and now I'm updating, reinstalling software, setting up all my prefs, etc. I don't know if I'm more mad that I got the malicious software, or that I foolishly decided to install a plug in from a random link.

Smile: Finished my Christmas shopping today. Got my brother a cool gift from Sears Hardware (we're tool junkies  ) On top of that, there was a display of nice looking CAT hat/socks bundle. Price said $25, turned out to be only $10, so I got one for myself and one for my brother. Then my friend that was with me decided to get one for her boyfriend and another for me :D . Then I was accepted for a Sears charge card which got me $15 credit on my first bill plus a $15 gift card! Interested rate is an incredible 25%, but I figure I'll just make sure I pay off the balance on my first bill and it'll turn out to be a great deal.

That sucks, lucky you had AAA.

That sucks, man. If it makes you feel any better, the parent company of the company I work for just filed for Chapter 11, and my store turned the heat off! I guess they needed the money for the four new CEOs they just hired.

Wasn't bad, I was more disappointed that I had to cut lunch short with my wife to be able to wait for the roadside assistance. AAA is totally worth it though.

A friend told me a horror story about AAA not to long ago. He went on a trip upstate NY and his car broke down. First person from AAA was an idiot and ended up sending a toe truck to a wrong location, and said it would be hours before they got there. Luckily, he called again and got some one else that wasn't an idiot.

She didn't have a key on her?

Hmm, in my family everyone carried keys for all vehicles.

As for being possibly booted form vacation, that's pretty poor schedule planning by the managers if they just now noticed they let too many people be off next week. :(

No heat in the store. Wouldn't bother me much, but that's not going to impress most customers very much.

Ticked: Yesterday between people on vacation, people that called in sick, and one that left a half day sick, I was the only person on the phones at work for a while while the only other guy that was still there went to lunch and didn't bother warning me. I'm only supposed to be backup and was in the middle of a remote connection into another customer's PC and was also working on something else related to my usual duties.

Smile: The games my friend picked up for me in Japan the other week will probably show up tomorrow.

I have a spare ignition key in my wallet, and a complete spare set in my bedroom.

Well since I work in a refrigerated department, I don't think many customers notice anyway. The comment, "Ew, it's cold in here" is heard throughout the year. But for me, it's pretty annoying. Yes, I'm more acclimated to the cold, but now I'm cold the entire time at work. While in the 34 degree box or out on the floor. When it's below freezing outside and it's not much better inside, you can never seem to warm up. I'm just cold the entire day. Nothing new, but it's just a little worse than usual.

Getting new stuff in the mail always puts a smile on my face. :D
