Re: DC - was it a good deal?
Are there any differences between regions for VMUs? I never realized the yellow vmus were difficult to find. Would one from Japan be able to work in a US system? Would any displays on the VMU be in English or in Japanese. I imagine it would be an English display if an English game was being played, but no way to test.

Re: DC - was it a good deal?
I doubt it. Playing Japanese games on a US DC, half of them are displaying Japanese on the VMU screen. Its all just pixels like the graphics for the games. I imagine it would be just fine. I really doubt there's any difference in the VMUs beyond the text on the outer shell.molotovwars wrote:Are there any differences between regions for VMUs? Re: DC - was it a good deal?
The set from the original post in the topic is for sale. I'd played it just a little, since my schedule has been allowing me to play on handhelds only (during daily commute).
I payed $160 (shipping included), and that's the minimum amount I'm willing to give it away for.
The set contains:
- a Dreamcast console,
- four controllers (two original) in an excellent shape,
- two VMUs (yellow and white),
- three TremorPaks,
- a keyboard,
- web browser,
- complete hookups,
- 25 games (including: Jet Grind Radio, Crazy Taxi, RE C:V, Shenmue, Soul Calibur, Test Drive Le Mans, Power Stone), majority in a great shape (CIB).
- Official Sega Dreamcast Magazine, vol. 1 to 11.

I'll provide the complete game listing and/or photos on request. I can set up an ebay/paypal transaction for additional payment security.

Well that's a shame.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
