Hi guys,
Currently trying to troubleshoot a couple of bad DC PSUs, and wondering if there are any good guides to checking through the board to try and pinpoint what components are causing the voltages to drop?
I realise that it's quite easy to make a harness to connect to an ATX PSU to replace the DC's PSU board, but since individual components are from only a couple of cents/pence to a couple of €/$/£, it would be great to bring these back to life.
Or any components likely to fail more than others? Caps are likely candidates, but if there were a few points through the board that could be verified, that would isolate the issue to specific parts of the board.
A schematic would be great, but I haven't been able to find one. I did come across a site/forum where they were discussing doing it, but it seems to have died off.

Do you have a working one handy? If it's the same revision you could measure a point on the good one, then on the bad and compare to help narrow down.

I have no clue about that stuff, but I'd be glad to read your results if you figure it out!
