Glad that Dreamcast is getting a new game, but I also wonder why yet another Shump. A little variety might be good to keep Dreamcast new commercial games going. I would hate to see my DC fade away completely in the similar Atari 2600 "too many same game crash."

Wow. Some of you guys take your love for the Dreamcast way too seriously.

Perhaps you need to go outside and breathe in some fresh air.

Why post comments like this? I read your original post and think some people have taken it a little too hard but it is a retro gaming forum and this is news about a past system. You should know that there are gonna be some members more hardcore than others. I think we all get your point about the bad business model and your little story of the band who liked vinyl but the fact is that unlike that band Redspot is still going and still rleasing games so its obviously not a waste of time for them. If its a waste of time for you then why waste your time?

I've never gotten into the release of new games for an old system myself as theres so many original releases I've never played yet I'd rather concentrate on those but its good to know that there is a scene out there for when im ready.

Now I think ill go try some of that fresh air you were on about.

Edit- This fresh air is actually pretty good, there might be something to this ater all.

Well, here's the thing... I just checked the Redspotgames website and see that they do have a game available on XBLA - Solar Struggle. So again, it just makes me facepalm when I think of this game being a Dreamcast exclusive in 2010 for a really high price point - $46!?

If they're just doing it out of the love for the Dreamcast and do not care about the money.. then why the hell is the cost of the game so high? Why not just release it as a free or cheap download then? Everyone knows that most DC's can play burned games. :?:

Again, this is why I think this game would be MUCH better suited for XBLA/PSN with a $5 or $10 value. $46 is an insane price for a new Dreamcast game. Especially since some of the last DC releases - Last Hope, Dux, Rush Rush Rally Racing - were all extremely underwhelming titles and did not live up to the standards of the Dreamcast, let alone showcase any of its strengths.

I dunno, man. I understand that a lot of people still love the Dreamcast and don't want to let it go. But I just think it's a silly idea to bring this exclusively to the DC when there's much better and less costly avenues to put the game out there for people to enjoy.

^^ Yeah this looks better than Border down though, and that looks like an excelent game.

To all the trolls, fuck you, I don't care what you say, you are a fucking prick. You act like it HURTS you so fucking God damned much for them to release a new game, chill the fuck out man, it's only a game!

That being said, this is a new DC game, and us Sega faithfull will love and appreciate it, with or without you. You saw that they released some "Dreamcast exclusive" on the Wii. so who are you to say that they won't release this on the 360 live arcade? You are not a retro fan if you would oppose a new game like this, so I will tell you this the easy way, you are a fucking troll, and are NOT a retro gamer whatsoever.

Who the FUCK cares if you don't see the logic in them producing a Dreamcast game in 2011, at LEAST 4 other developers are developing Dreamcast games in this day and age, and plan on releasing them in 2011! Shut the fuck UP! I hate the fuck out of people like you, and can't stand people that are a hipocrite like yourself. You call yourself a retro gamer, but you have no idea what that means!

I frankly don't care what anybody thinks about what I said, I think I am saying this for the community and most people will agree with me. Thank you, and have a good night trolls.
