yeah well I did drive myself nuts. But I think yr mostly right Hobie. Anyway, it's a strange little oddity. I came across when preparing a blogpost about Pocket Gamer mag, so I'll be sure to mention this strange ad when I do so. Haha.

I feel like my curiosity annoyed you?elmagicochrisg wrote:The reason I said that is because these bad cut and paste jobs occured quite frequently in old pre-64-bit-era magazines. Just think of the advertisement pages in the UK based Super Pro magazine for example. They were filled with small adds, and trust me, some of the pictures in them made no sense at all. Alladin's 16-bit version being a good example. I'm sure I'm not the only one that ever saw pictures for the Mega Drive version being used for the SNES version, or vice versa...Nothing we haven't seen happen before...
Hobie-wan's explanation makes much more sense than thinking this picture is genuine. I for one cannot believe they would have had the game up and running on a GBC in such a casual way without noone nowhere ever mentioning Tecno Soft had plans to release Herzog Zwei on GBC. Even if development was all done in secrecy, it's highly unlikely that anyone would've gotten it's hands on it just to advertise a friggin' GBC screen magnifier that sucked balls anyway...

yeah but just because someone gave a LOGICAL explanation doesn't mean that's the ACTUAL explanation. Anyway, I'm mostly convinced -- so we're all on the same page.elmagicochrisg wrote:No, curiosity is good.noiseredux wrote:I feel like my curiosity annoyed you?
It's just, when someone gives a logical explanation and people still say : "no, I don't think so", I get kinda antsy. lol
But I can get annoyed quite easily sometimes, so don't mind me...

admittedly I was kind of excited about the prospect of Herzog Zwei on GBC. Oh well.
